Christmas day
The beautiful light blue arch is now overhead. It sounds like a train in the west as warm air rushes through the mountain passes. A Chinook is happening Christmas day, in Cree Chinook means welcomed friend. I walked for about one hour and a half getting rid of the excess of Christmas food. Bye for now, Jay

Christmas eve 2010
Hello world
It is a beautiful morning in Red Deer. The weather is warming, the sky is the warm light blue. The magpies seem to gather in the trees by the apartment, as if it was their Parliament or senate. They were quiet this morning. The deer walked on the foot path behind the apartment last night. All is well. Bye for now Jay

I look out my apartment windows, I do not have a deck, to see lights aglow on a six suite apartment nearby. The people that live in that apartment do not have a lot of money. He does odd jobs and she probably does the same. Their balcony is aglow of lights making the spirit of the season shine. These people probably receive money to live yet they are the only ones to have lights on. In Red Deer Tim Horton's was giving away coffer makers for good community spirit. These people should win. Hello world;
I went for a walk at noon today. I would see two young deer, probably twin fawns form this year, behind the arena in Deer. Their coats were full, bristly and warm. They only ran away a few feet from me. It was very nice to see. That word nice should be changed to great. It is a beautiful sunny winter day in Deer today. Highs for Christmas may be on the plus side. Bye for now, Jay

The air has been full of energy the last couple days here in Red Deer. Winter storm warnings abound yet we have had little in the way of snow or blizzard conditions. The animals and birds seemed hunker down so maybe the forecasts are correct. The whole being is almost electric. Bye for now, the jay man

Good afternoon world,
It is a cool, minus 14 Celsius afternoon in Red Deer. The air is damp with moisture from the Pacific Ocean. I walked over to twisted tree this morning and on the footpath that proceeds through the woods. A little red Squirrel with fir cone in mouth ran across the path as I entered the woods. It was a kind of welcoming to the sights and sounds of the woods. The beaver damn gurgled. A father had cleared a patch of ice for his children to play hockey or skate. Deep richness of spirit and mind sang in this part of the woods with joy. Bye jay

Good Morning. It is a beautiful day, the weather is suppose to be plus 2 Celsius. That is warm for Red Deer, Alberta this time of year. A deer used the same path I walk on behind the apartment this morning. I could see the hoofs cut deep into the packed snow. The deer was on the move, his or her weight cutting deeply into the snow as they shifted their weight. The marks were after I had gone for my Timmies coffee in the morning. Magpies were holding their convention in the old fir just back of the apartment. It was a noisy affair with many topics discussed. Bye for now, Jay

Nov. 29
Just at dusk I saw three deer by the creek by the apartment. Beautiful animals, sleek with warm coats to take the chill out of the winter's air. The weather is warm so the animals are on the move and not hunkered down for the bone chilling cold.

Yesterday we had the second coldest place on earth where there is a weather station. That place was Calgary, Alberta Canada. I could tell the weather was setting in for I saw a deer by the creek behind the apartment two nights ago. The hoofs made a sound like reindeer in the tv shows on the pavement. Foxes and coyotes followed the deer path looking for the mice that were disturbed. The weather is warming up as the wind is blowing from the south. Daytime highs tomorrow are suppose to be plus 1 Celsius.

Hello from the north part of Alberta, Canada. I am at work at firebag, an insitu oil sands plant that uses only 15% of the land and energy to make a barrel of oil when compared to open pit oil sands projects. The blue heron is again at the creek in Red Deer. The bird looks for frogs, a nice eat if you are a heron. The coyote and foxes clamor around the creak as all life unites as one unity. Bye for now from the bag. jay

Hello world.
A friend gave me an idea to publish my books anyways and sell at craft sales for twenty bucks. Might try it. Beautiful crisp fall air in Alberta, my favorite time of year. No bugs and the air caresses the face. Jay

Hello world.
I have been caught up in the work thing and have missed the long walks on the paths of Red Deer. A young eagle pair was out at Sylvan lake this spring. They would sit in an old scrag of a tree, one that was pure bones of a once masjestic tree. One of the birds had the white head and the other was still dauble grey. A beuatiful sight. Hope to hit the blogger more now.

Welcome back after a long time away. Busy working at the Firebag in Alberta's north. Very cold here for this time of year. Looking forward to days off, back at Red Deer. Hopefully will see nature at it's best then.
