Journal 40

Good morning world;
The weather in Red Deer is unsettled, cloudy for ten minutes and then sunny. Unfortunately the temperature is cool and a brisk wind is blowing. I did my morning walk for coffee at Timmies this morning. The blue jays behind the arenas were all in a tether for a crow was in the area and maybe robbing precious eggs from the nests. About ten blue jays were on guard to attack the intruding crow. The chickadees were busy singing their little lullaby songs. It is always nice to hear the little birds sing. A wax bill sang in a tree just outside the house today. They have one of the most beautiful songs in the bird world. Finches in in the spruce trees on the Ross hill, they were very plain colored being brown and grey. The mallards were not seen this morning, I think they are doing the nesting thing. Bye for now, the Jay man from Canada
